On December 27, 2023, the list of recipients for the DAMO Academy Young Fellow Award was officially announced. Professor Chang Lin has made significant internationally leading contributions in the field of silicon-based optoelectronic integration technology and has pioneered a series of new application scenarios for integrated photonics chips, earning him the "2023 DAMO Academy Young Fellow Award."

The Alibaba DAMO Academy Young Fellow Award was established by Alibaba Group in 2018. It is a purely philanthropic award sponsored by Alibaba DAMO Academy and supported by Alibaba Philanthropy.
