On February 25, 2025, Researcher Chang Lin’s team collaborated with Researcher Li Wangzhe’s group from the Institute of Aerospace Information at the Chinese Academy of Sciences to publish a research article titled "Microcomb-synchronized optoelectronics" online in Nature Electronics. For the first time in the world, the application of a photonic chip clock in information systems was demonstrated. This technology, based on mass-producible ultra-low-loss silicon nitride photonic chips, generates high-precision, low-noise clock signals via optical frequency combs, breaking through the performance bottlenecks of traditional electronic chips in terms of clock bandwidth, power consumption, and noise. It provides an important solution for the development of future ultra-high-speed chips.
